Advanced
I have a strong skill set in communicating with others. In my past experiences and degree, I have learned the importance of knowing your audience and then adapting to them. Communicating via email, phone, taking notes during meetings, making presentations and answering questions are all things im confident in doing. In my past experience I have had to communicate with top physicians in the country, different departments within NYU, other executive assistants, directors, donors, and colleagues. The most important lesson though is to always be kind and clear in what you need to communicate.
Event Planning
I have not only planned meetings but Conferences and Receptions for the department of medicine. Some of these events include the 20th Anniversary DIMOND Diversity Reception as well as Faculty Round Tables. My event planning consists of finding a location, booking that location, ordering catering, arranging a bartender, arranging set up/ clean up, Audio and visual assistants for presentations, creating and sending out invites. The invites give me room to be creative and put my design eye to the test. I also contribute to the events by creating creative PowerPoints.

Calendar Management
Advanced
In my past work experience I have managed up to seven physicians clinical schedules (office visits, treatments, procedures, post ops). In my current role I manage the Associate Chair of Health Equity, Associate professor of Medicine, and Director of GME as well as Associate Professor and Section Chief for Pulmonology. This consists of communicating with different departments, other executive/ admin assistants, arranging meetings/ conferences with a high volume of participants, and other MD's. Google Calendar and Microsoft outlook are the most familiar platforms for me.

Organization
Advanced
Organization is a major component to success. I am old school in the sense that I love to carry around a piece of paper and a pen with me to write anything down I hear and may need for later. I use google docs to create lists for myself. One of everyday tasks that I am responsible for daily and the next things that come up like scheduling a meeting, following up on event details, sending out an email invite.. ect. I use doodle, a polling tool, to track large meetings and the participants availability. I color coordinate my emails in outlook (f/u, urgent, need to know, per MD..). I also use directories via Excel to keep track of the department, extensions, and emails. To schedule conference rooms we use 'At Glance' calendar books.

Public Relations/ Marketing
Intermediate
My degree in Media opened my eyes to my passion for Public Relations and Marketing specifically in Entertainment and Sports. Growing up I loved every aspect of the media world. Not only the lights, camera, action but behind the scenes that ensures everything runs smoothly. Entertainment and Sports always brought excitement to my life. I understand knowing your audience and being able to see the bigger picture. Every situation is individual to itself and I can manage that from my experience in working in the medical field where every situation is different from the next. After working in healthcare, flexibility is one of my strongest skills, especially after COVID. Our day to day operations changed completely and we had to adapt. Applying this to PR/ Marketing, I'd never miss a deadline and always be ready for damage duty for example if a product, social media post, or client you represent makes a mistake. I have learned to develop relationships with my Physicians, directors, supervisors, colleagues, assistants in other departments, staff at the hospital, insurance companies, pharmaceutical reps, and patients. What is just as important is maintaining them and that takes follow through, kindness, positive energy, and consistency. I would consider writing not only a skill of mine, but a passion. I have taken several writing intensive courses in college and also generate/ draft letters, agendas, powerpoints, and meeting notes for Doctors. I am honest, outgoing, and creative with thick skin. I will always put in extra time, effort, and dedication to ensure the client, consumer, and or audience is pleased.
